HBO has released the debut trailer for the long-awaited third season of the series Euphoria, giving viewers a sneak peek at the plot twists and turns to come (no spoilers, of course). According to the official synopsis, the grown-up heroes will face philosophical questions of faith, evil, and redemption in the new episodes, so the writers have certainly come up with something extraordinary.

Zendaya, Hunter Schafer, Eric Dane, Jacob Elordi, Sydney Sweeney, Alexa Demie, Maude Apatow, Martha Kelly, Chloe Cherry, Colman Domingo, and Dominic Fike will be returning to their roles. The action takes place several years after high school graduation: Rue (Zendaya) settles down in Mexico, Cassie and Nate (Sweeney and Elordi) get married, Maddie (Alexa Demie) gets a job at a prestigious Hollywood agency, and Jules (Shafer) enters the Higher Art Academy.

After the release of the first season in 2019, Euphoria became an absolute hit, not only among the target youth audience, but also among the older generation. The series has been criticized for its excessive frankness, but it was the “edge” narrative that brought showrunner Sam Levinson’s project worldwide recognition.
The premiere of new episodes is scheduled for April 12 of this year.
