“Nuremberg”
This psychological thriller (in theaters March 19) is based on the true events of 1946, telling the story of the psychological duel between Hermann Goering, awaiting trial, and Douglas Kelley, a US military intelligence officer who served as the prison’s chief psychiatrist during the Nuremberg trials.
“They both wanted something from each other,” director and screenwriter James Vanderbilt shares in an interview. “Kelly essentially gets his hands on the highest-ranking living Nazi and thinks this is an opportunity to analyze the nature of evil. Goering, on the other hand, is looking for his last chance on the world stage.”
The film, which explores darkness through psychology, premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival, where it received a four-minute standing ovation. Audiences around the world also lauded the film, with an IMDB score of 7.5 based on over 20,000 ratings. “Nuremberg” has also been shortlisted for the 2026 Oscars. However, the action-packed plot and outstanding cast (Russell Crowe, Rami Malek, Michael Shannon, Oscar nominee Richard E. Grant, and rising British star Leo Woodall) aren’t the only reasons this film is a must-see. The confrontation between the characters echoes the bloodiest war in human history and the Nazi crimes that will haunt those involved for years to come. Full of deep psychological insight, the film evokes exceptionally strong emotions, stirring thoughts, nerves and memory.

“Couture”
A film of exceptional importance has been in wide release since February 26th: although a completely glamorous story, it draws the attention of women around the world to the importance of early detection of breast cancer. The film acquires a special resonance due to the fact that the main role is played by Angelina Jolie, for whom this topic is very close to home: in 2013, the actress decided to undergo a preventative double mastectomy, because she realized that she had an alarming hereditary condition. The general partner of the premiere was the Lancet Clinic of the Institute of Plastic Surgery and Cosmetology, which is actively involved in the diagnosis, treatment, and reconstruction of the breast after cancer. That is why the guests of the social event held at Mosfilm were not only celebrities, but also leading oncologists, mammologists, reconstructive surgeons, rehabilitation specialists and 150 patients who were diagnosed with this disease.
