Jenna Ortega surprised fans with her “disappointed and tired” appearance at a recent press conference dedicated to the popular TV series “Wednesday.”

The 23-year-old star met with the actors and creators of the series, including her on-screen parents Catherine Zeta-Jones and Luis Guzman. Fans noticed that when screenwriter and executive producer Alfred Gough praised Ortega’s performance in the second season, the actress became confused. He mentioned the episode where Jenna and Emma Myers swapped bodies.
He and Emma really cared about each other in the body-swap episode and were attentive to each other on set. It was an extraordinary episode. But Jenna has been extraordinary all season, and so I will give her credit for that, Gough said.
However, Ortega turned the other way during his speech, resting her chin on her fist, showing disdain.
I’m actually very proud of the Irish team’s participation, she said. — But I show up and do what Tim Burton asks me to do.
Social media users speculated that there was a rift between the actress and the producer.
Honestly, I’m really sad to see her in this state. She’s clearly tired and frustrated with the attitude and actions of these arrogant people, and frankly, I don’t blame her, — wrote one fan.
Turns away, doesn’t pay attention, doesn’t clap. “His body language literally says she doesn’t like him,” added another.
The second season of “Wednesday” was released in the summer of 2025, the series has already been renewed for a third season.
