Earlier this year, it was announced that the cult 1990s series “Buffy the Vampire Slayer” was officially getting a sequel, almost 23 years after the seventh season finale. A new young slayer will be at the center of the story, but the actress who played the original lead role, Sarah Michelle Gellar, will also return to the series! She will also serve as an executive producer on the project.

The new series will be directed by Oscar winner Chloe Zhao, and the script will be written by Nora and Lila Zuckerman, all longtime fans of “Buffy.” The creator of the original, Joss Whedon, is known to not be involved in the sequel. And now we have found out who is included in the updated cast and has every chance of becoming the new idols of the younger generation.
