This is the 40-year-old hockey player’s third goal in 13 games this season and his 900th in the regular season of the NHL. Ovechkin became the first hockey player in history to score 900 goals in the League. However, including playoffs, this is the Russian’s 977th NHL goal. In this parameter, Ovechkin is second in history, behind only Wayne Gretzky, who has 1,016 goals.
