31-year-old model Barbara Palvin has returned to social media after a long absence to share some worrying health news with her followers. Barbara was diagnosed with endometriosis in early June and has since undergone surgery, which she shared in a new post.
Hey guys, long time no see! Just a quick update and a few thoughts for anyone interested in what I have to share – I have been dealing with the challenges that can come with periods for a few years now. Fatigue, severe pain, heavy and irregular discharge, sleepless nights on the bathroom floor, – Palvin began.
The model attached photos from the hospital to the new publication.
But recently I was advised to see an endometriosis specialist to find out what was causing my symptoms. I went to my gynecologist for checkups every year and I thought that if I had endometriosis, I would already know about it, but as it turns out, endometriosis can’t be diagnosed with a general checkup,” the model explained.
Palvin had surgery three months after her first checkup.
So I went to the doctor and had surgery three months later. Since then, my periods have finally become easier, and I can tell the difference. If you suspect you might have endometriosis, I recommend you get it all figured out. It helped me a lot and I’m grateful I did it. Early diagnosis and treatment are essential to prevent long-term complications, and I am now more mindful of my body so that I can act quickly when needed.
Throughout my treatment, the model has reduced her workload and given up her professional activities.

That is why I have spent the last three months resting and fully recuperating. I am excited about this new chapter of my life and am now ready to get back to work.
