Kristina Asmus admits that there are no taboo topics or impossible challenges for her in acting. With each new project, Kristina is willing to make significant sacrifices to achieve the best possible result. For example, the actress has no hesitation in changing her image by going brunette or cutting her hair. She enjoys performing complex stunts herself – undoubtedly aided by her athletic background, which has given her the necessary physical fitness and stamina. However, in recent years, Kristina has been plagued by health-related setbacks.
Every year, she suffers injuries, primarily affecting her legs. These accidents jeopardize her participation in film productions, and now, according to her, film circles have begun to view her with caution. Some producers are even beginning to be wary of inviting her to their projects, which undoubtedly creates additional difficulties in her career. Kristina shared that a similar situation arose while working on the film “Letter to Santa Claus.” However, despite all the warnings, director Kirill Kuzin defended her candidacy, allowing her to land the lead role. Asmus humorously recalls how she deals with injuries every year.
For four years in a row, I wore crutches and had operations, sometimes on my foot, sometimes on my knee. The idea of “an actress who always breaks something” was so ingrained in everyone’s minds that when they were deciding who would play the lead in the film “Letter to Santa Claus,” the producers at a general meeting said, “Maybe not Asmus? She breaks her legs every year.” To which the director replied, “Calm down, she’s already broken them this year.” That’s how I got into this film, the actress said humorously.

In connection with the release of the new film, Kristina Asmus urged all viewers to visit cinemas and enjoy the New Year’s comedy, and also reminded them of the need to be careful on slippery streets in winter. In the film “Letter to Santa Claus” her co-star was the famous Uruguayan actress Natalia Oreiro, star of the popular TV series “Wild Angel”. Despite having long since won the hearts of Russian viewers, Natalia continues to evoke interest and admiration. The actress speaks Russian fluently, and in 2021, she even received Russian citizenship. Kristina noted that many of the filming participants were somewhat apprehensive about working with Natalia, but the actress herself was pleased with the experience. She described Oreiro as a very beautiful woman and a true professional, with whom it was a pleasure to work.

Incidentally, despite all her injuries and difficulties, Kristina Asmus has discovered a new hobby – motorcycle riding. This new hobby has become a source of adrenaline and new emotions for her, and perhaps it will help her distract herself from the constant worries associated with her career and injuries.
