According to Page Six sources, Chloe Malle is the front-runner to become Vogue’s new editor-in-chief, replacing legendary “fashion queen” Anna Wintour.
Malle, the daughter of actress Candice Bergen and French film director Louis Malle, is currently the publication’s website editor and is in the final stages of interviews to become the new editorial director of American Vogue.

The 39-year-old is a long-time favorite among the editorial staff. She recently interviewed Lauren Sanchez for her Vogue cover ahead of her lavish Venetian wedding to Amazon billionaire Jeff Bezos. According to insiders, Condé Nast executives, including CEO Roger Lynch and Anna Wintour, have narrowed the list of contenders to a few candidates.

However, Nicole Phelps, global director of Vogue Runway, Vogue’s online platform dedicated to fashion shows, is also in contention for the win. The name of the new editor is expected to be announced by the start of New York Fashion Week, which starts on September 11 and runs through September 16.
Wintour, 75, announced in June that she was stepping down as editor-in-chief of American Vogue after 37 years at the helm of the fashion magazine. You can read more about this in our article.
