On Sunday, August 17, the Daily Mail reported that Kate Middleton and Prince William have decided to change their place of residence. The royal couple and their three children – 12-year-old Prince George, 10-year-old Princess Charlotte and 7-year-old Prince Louis – plan to live in Fort Lodge, but this has created inconvenience for local residents. Two families who lived in cottages next to the mansion were asked to vacate their homes earlier this summer.
They were told to move out. I believe they were moved to another location, but they were faced with the fact that they had to move, a source told the publication. — They didn’t expect it.

According to the Daily Mail, the families were renting a home on the Crown Estate. Now they have moved to similar or better accommodation elsewhere in the area. The Prince and Princess of Wales are reportedly paying for the residents to move, at no additional cost to them.

William and Kate, 43, are planning to start a new life in Fort Lodge. The royal family currently resides at Adelaide Cottage, located near Windsor Castle in Berkshire, England. They moved there in 2022 to be closer to Lambrook Infant School. The Prince and Princess of Wales will move into their new home later this year. The Sun reports that Fort Lodge is worth around $21 million, and that the family is looking for a new home after enduring a difficult year at Adelaide Cottage following Kate’s cancer diagnosis.
“Windsor has become their home,” a source told the publication about the reasons William and Kate decided to stay in the area. — However, over the last few years, while they were living at Adelaide Cottage, they have fallen on really tough times, — the insider concluded.
