Accompanied by her husband, Prince William, Kate, 43, attended a major concert at London’s Royal Albert Hall, choosing a truly elegant outfit for the rare social outing. The princess donned an emerald velvet fitted dress with full-length draping and a racy, shoulder-baring neckline, a slight violation of the royal dress code.
Kate complemented her evening look by German designer Talbot Runhof with Cartier Art Deco diamond chandelier earrings from the personal collection of the late Queen Elizabeth II. It’s worth noting that this is an extremely sentimental family piece: it was given to Elizabeth by the Queen Mother as a wedding gift in 1949. Kate also wore a diamond bracelet that previously belonged to Queen Mary, who wore it as a necklace in the 1920s.

Green velvet pumps from Manolo Blahnik and a silver miniature clutch from Jenny Packham completed the outfit. The Princess of Wales styled her recently bleached hair in soft waves and opted for discreet makeup with an emphasis on her eyes.
Kate Middleton attended the annual Royal Variety Performance for the first time since she was diagnosed with cancer in March 2024. In total, she and Prince William have attended six such performances.
