Adele’s ’21’ Adele has become the best-selling album of all time. On Monday, January 19, it was announced that the singer’s 2011 album has surpassed Whitney Houston’s 1992 album ‘The Bodyguard’ in popularity.

According to The Sun, Adele has sold a staggering 56.375 million copies, surpassing Whitney Houston’s record of 56.372 million.
The album ’21’ brought Adele international fame and success, and most of its songs became hits. The album includes the songs “Turning Tables,” “Rumor Has It,” and “Someone Like You.”

Whitney’s album, the soundtrack to the film The Bodyguard, includes several of her best-known hits, including “I Will Always Love You,” “I Have Nothing,” “I’m Every Woman,” and “Run To You.” Houston died in 2012 at the age of 48. Having sold more than 220 million records worldwide, she is among the best-selling artists of all time. Shania Twain, Alanis Morissette, Celine Dion and Madonna also made the top ten best-selling female albums.
