Farewell to summer in the courtyard of the restaurant “Intelligentsia” – August 29

On the last Friday of August, regulars of the most intelligent restaurant on Taganka will gather in the famous “St. Petersburg” courtyard to dance in an intimate setting to DJ sets on vinyl and to a performance by the musician Blizkey (author of the hit “Gory”). Signature cocktails and dishes from chef Alexander Galuza will be an indispensable accompaniment to this. Starts at 20:00.

“Green” bar menu at Fitz Gin Bar – from August 27, all season

The new seasonal menu from head bartender Roman Morozov includes a quintet of signature cocktails that combine the last gifts of the outgoing season with the first gifts of the incoming one. Interestingly, all five mixes are green, which is why the collection is called Green. The gin and tonic is infused with young peas, and a pinch of salt and lime are also added. The sour combines sorrel and late, over-ripe, flavourful strawberries. The crisp, dry Collins, like the first frost, conveys the feeling of autumn with zucchini and apples. The gimlet is based on kaffir lime gin, warmed by raspberry butter and milk cordial. And a cozy punch with chestnut liqueur and kiwi generally reminds one of the sensations from a fluffy blanket thrown over one’s shoulders on a cold August evening.

Gastronomic camp Chefs Camp on Mednoye Lake – from August 31 to September 5

Country club We Lodge, which is located in a pine forest 30 km from St. Petersburg, will host star chefs for a whole week. For three evenings in a row, they will work in pairs, exchange experiences and experiment with cooking restaurant dishes over an open fire in the field. There are seven chefs in total: Nicanor Vieira (Olluco), Mirko Zago (Onest, “Aist”), David Emmerle (Grand Cru), Nikolay Bobrov (Tunguska), Dmitry Reshetnikov (Mon ChouChou, Zazazu), Dmitry Golenin (Sage) and the chef of the local restaurant Hvoy Vladimir Batov, with whom the famous chefs will even go mushroom picking. Dinners can be booked on the website We Lodge, for guests with accommodation a special package rate is offered. Note that the entire menu remains a secret for guests and, perhaps, for the chefs themselves until the very last moment!

Celebrating the 15th anniversary of the Strelka bar – September 5

It’s hard to believe, but it’s true: the legendary Strelka is already quite grown up, but it still has the drive that an entire generation grew up on. Musicians and friends who created its vibe and sound over the years will gather for one night to have a blast like adults, because this bar became famous, first of all, for its cool parties, music on the dance floor and approach to forming a cocktail menu. The musical and club traditions of Strelka are still developing and finding more and more new followers. The bar occupies a special place on the cultural map of the capital: weekly parties with DJ sets and live performances, collaborations with famous musical groups (No Wave!, Color Block, Radio Tiger) and joint events with Moscow galleries of contemporary art (Fabula, Deep List, etc.) are held here. On the first Friday of September, everyone is expected to wear arrows on their clothes and eyes for their birthday, and those who wish can be helped to complement the dress code with a corresponding pattern on their face or body in the beauty zone. Among the speakers are two art directors of the bar, Dima Karmanovsky and Tanya Andrianova, a musician, member of the group “Trud” and the association No Wave! Ildar Iksanov, virtuoso of musical guilty pleasures Efim Ginzburg, cultural legend Roma Ptashenko and the main promoter of a relaxed atmosphere at the city’s discos Mark Shchedrin.
