Oprah Winfrey showed fans an archival video capturing her athletic form a year ago. Winfrey demonstrated that while she previously couldn’t hold a plank for even five seconds, after a year of intensive training, she feels confident in the gym.
As I’ve gotten older, I’ve realized that flexibility and strength are most important, especially for women and our bones, said the 72-year-old TV presenter. — That’s why I started strength training.

Winfrey said that she had achieved her fitness goal: to learn to hold a plank position, resting on her forearms and toes.
I can hold it for another 20 seconds, — she showed a recent video in which she does a plank and lifts dumbbells. — That was the goal! — the star concluded proudly.
