Brad Pitt and Jennifer Aniston met in 1998 when their agents set them up on a blind date. They got engaged a year later and married in 2000. However, the couple split five years later. The actress gave her first interview since her divorce to Vanity Fair in 2005, and she recently recalled the article.
I remember it being pretty shocking, she said on Monday, August 11. “It was a very vulnerable time. But, yes, it went down in history. Journalism seemed more like a sport back then,” Aniston continued. “I’m left with post-traumatic stress disorder, so interviews scare me.”
She shared that her “survival strategy” during her divorce was “just picking myself up and keeping going.”
It was such a compelling read for people. If they didn’t have their soap operas, they had their tabloids,” she said. “And I took it to heart.”

The Friends star admitted that at the time she wasn’t strong enough to ignore the rumors about her relationship.
We are the same people, although some don’t want to believe it, they think that stars do it themselves, but no, we didn’t sign up for this.
Pitt began filming Mr. & Mrs. Smith with Angelina Jolie in 2004. Rumors of their romance began to circulate when the actors quickly developed a close bond on set. Brad married Jolie in August 2014, and the couple raised six children before their acrimonious split in 2016. Aniston, however, maintained friendly relations with Pitt, despite the scandal and their public breakup.
