The premiere of Kanye West’s new project, “In Whose Name?” took place on Wednesday, August 13. The teaser features a conversation between Kanye and his ex-wife Kim Kardashian, where he tells his wife that he has stopped taking his medication.

The trailer, which is about a minute long, begins with West, 48, returning from a 2019 Forbes cover shoot.
I’ve been off my medication for five months now, Kanye says in a voiceover.
The video then cuts off and the Keeping Up With the Kardashians star appears in the frame.
“You were a different person a few years ago,” she says through tears.
After several clips, in Including one where West and his eldest daughter, 11-year-old North, are riding in the backseat of a car, West utters a moving line.
Never tell me that one day I’ll wake up and see nothing.
The camera then pans to Kardashian, 44, who asks her husband to continue the conversation in a more private setting.

According to Deadline, the documentary uses footage shot by director Nico Ballesteros over the past six years. The trailer ends with West’s line.
You know what the best thing about being an artist with bipolar disorder is? Everything you do and say is a work of art.
In his 2018 album “Ye,” West spoke about living with bipolar disorder. According to doctors, this mental disorder causes extreme mood swings, including emotional highs and lows. Later, in February 2025, West said he had been diagnosed with autism and had previously been misdiagnosed with bipolar disorder, CNN reports. The film will premiere in theaters on September 19.
