Made in Russia
Sales of cars under the new Tenet brand will begin in Russia soon. They are assembled at the former Volkswagen plant in the Kaluga region, and the first to reach dealerships will be the seven-seater T8 crossover.
The car is based on Chery cars, which are well known in our country, and its appearance is also borrowed from the popular “Chinese”. The technical characteristics of the model have not yet been disclosed, but it is known that the car will receive a digital 10.2-inch dashboard, a media system with a 15.6-inch touchscreen, a projection display, heated and ventilated front seats, fully LED optics, and a Sony audio system.

Sales of the SUV will start in August 2025.
Budget
Meanwhile, at another site in the Kaluga Region – PSMA Rus, where Peugeot and Citroen were previously assembled – they began to assemble the basic Haval M6 crossover using the so-called full cycle. That is, the company not only screws on bumpers and wheels, but also paints and welds the body.
For buyers, this means that the manufacturer will receive more benefits from the authorities, which, as a rule, is directly reflected in the cost of the car. The SUV is equipped with a 1.5-liter turbo engine with 143 horsepower, a 6-speed manual transmission or a 7-range “robot”.
The list of options includes climate control, a media system with a 10.25-inch touch screen, an audio system with 4 speakers, a rear-view camera, cruise control, heated front seats.
Hybrid
In the third quarter, Chery will present its new sub-brand iCaur, which will appear in Russia in the near future. The first-born of the model range will be an as yet unnamed crossover about 5 meters long.
The model will be powered by a series-type hybrid power plant. This means that the gasoline engine will not have a connection with the wheels, and it will only work to charge the battery – these are the cars that are tax-efficient in Russia.

There are no details about the new product yet. The company notes that it will acquire the most modern driver assistants, an impressive power reserve, and will also be adapted for operation in Russian conditions.
Almost Japanese
The Chinese manufacturer announced the completion of certification of the futuristic Oting Z9 pickup. The car is built on the basis of the “Japanese” Nissan Frontier Pro, and the cars will appear at dealers in early September. Prices and trim levels will be announced closer to the sales launch date.
Under the hood is a 258-horsepower Mitsubishi engine, which works with an 8-speed automatic transmission. It is claimed that a similar gearbox is installed on sports BMWs.
The truck will not be fazed by Moscow snowdrifts or fords up to 80 cm deep, and the all-wheel drive and 12 driving modes will allow you to feel confident both on asphalt and on hardcore off-road.
