The second film festival “FERRUM’25”, which ended in Zheleznovodsk, left an unforgettable mark in the history of the city and the hearts of its numerous guests. The festival, which took place a month earlier than usual, became a bright final chord of the summer, turning Zheleznovodsk into a real cinematic capital of Russia for several days. This event united film lovers of all ages and generations, demonstrating the incredible power and appeal of cinema as one of the most important forms of art. Despite its youth – after all, this is only the second “FERRUM” festival – it has already managed to establish itself as a significant cultural brand, a calling card of Zheleznovodsk. The geography of the participants is impressive: people from all over Russia, from the Pacific expanses of Kamchatka to the Baltic shores of Kaliningrad, and, of course, from the Stavropol Territory and the republics of the North Caucasus, came to the festival events.
The scale of “FERRUM’25” is truly amazing: more than 150 thousand people took part in the various events that the festival offered. The program of “FERRUM’25” has undergone significant changes compared to last year, having expanded significantly. However, one thing has remained unchanged – sold-out shows at all events. The festival presented viewers with a wide choice of film events. In addition to traditional film screenings, a series of premiere film screenings took place for the first time, which aroused great interest among moviegoers. The new, rich children’s program deserves special attention, which received sincere support and high praise from the family audience. Another significant addition was the successful debut program “Film School Review”, which demonstrated the talents of future filmmakers.

Also in the Resort Park there was a unique program of screenings of films from 35-mm film in the format of a mobile cinema, which created a special atmosphere of nostalgia and immersion in the history of cinema. In parallel with the film screenings, creative meetings with famous theater and film actors were held, giving the audience the opportunity to communicate with their idols. The ROSIZO exhibition “The Art of Propaganda” complemented the festival, presenting a unique view of the history of Soviet cinema and art. The concerts on Ferrum Square deserve special mention. Huge crowds of people gathered at the performances of favorite musicians, creating an atmosphere of general celebration and jubilation. Residents and guests of Zheleznovodsk were able to immerse themselves in the world of Russian cinema, seeing the best examples of different genres and trends.
The FERRUM’25 festival presented all-Russian premieres of the most anticipated Russian films of the fall, giving viewers the opportunity to be the first to see new films. Festival participants were able to take part in exciting interactive events that made the festival even more vibrant and unforgettable. The closing ceremony, held on August 31 on the main square of the city, brought together a huge number of people. The hosts of the ceremony were famous actors: People’s Artist of the RSFSR Sergei Shakurov and Honored Artist of Russia Olesya Sudzilovskaya. They stressed the importance of holding film festivals of such a scale as “FERRUM’25”, noting their contribution to the development of Russian cinema and culture.

The ceremony ended with a bright concert with the participation of Russian theater and cinema stars. Pavel Artemyev, Polina Lazareva, Maria Lapshina, Denis Vlasenko, Georgy Peradze and Mark Kondratyev performed songs from famous films – “Amphibian Man”, “Tehran-43”, “Mimino”, “D’Artagnan and the Three Musketeers”, “My Sweet and Tender Beast” and many others. The ringing applause and delight of the audience became the best confirmation of the success of the festival.
“FERRUM’25” not only shows the best examples of Russian cinema, but also creates a festive atmosphere, uniting people around a common love of art.
