Having recently finished filming the sequel to the series “Golden Bottom”, Yulia Snigir has started a new film story. This time, it’s fantastic. The actress has joined the cast of the series “Noon”, based on the novel by the Strugatsky brothers “The Beetle in the Anthill”. The series takes place in the distant future. The Commission on Contacts with Extraterrestrial Civilizations, headed by Rudolf Sikorski (Leonid Yarmolnik), instructs Maxim Kammerer (Yuri Kolokolnikov) to find Professor Lev Abalkin (Maksim Matveyev), who, contrary to the rules, interrupted his mission on the planet Nadezhda and returned to Earth. And Yulia Snigir’s character, an employee of the Institute of Extraterrestrial Civilizations, Maya Glumova, turns out to be the one with whom the professor was close since school.

The context of the story is always important to me, and in this case, the place and time of the action play a very big role. Maya is torn between the man she loves, fear for her safety and the well-being of her son. And she is a woman in the full sense of the word, she wants simple human happiness, and Lev Abalkin’s lofty ideas seem crazy and meaningless, ― the actress says about her heroine.

Yulia admits that to create the image of the heroine this time she did not have to make any changes in appearance.
I think that the Strugatskys need female characters to create a balance with the male world, and I tried to emphasize this by putting into Maya’s mouth a critical look at what was happening and at the theories constructed by the male characters. And, probably, this was more important to me than being interesting externally – changing my hairstyle, gait or voice. Maya is certainly a function in the male world of the Strugatskys. Director Klim Kozinsky and I tried to make it so that this was an important function, – noted the actress.
In addition to Yulia Snigir, the series also stars Sofia Sinitsyna, Evgeny Sangadzhiev, Naledi Nikita Tau, Boris Khvoshnyansky, Yuri Nifontov, Denis Burgazliev, Margarita Dyachenkova, Karen Badalov, Dmitry Moskov, Ivan Kotik, Ivan Moskvinin and others.

The premiere of the series “Noon” will take place simultaneously in the online cinemas KION and Okko.
