Twilight saga author Stephenie Meyer plans to continue the story of Bella Swan and Edward Cullen.
For me, Bella and Edward stopped where Breaking Dawn ended,” the 51-year-old writer said on Good Morning America on Wednesday, September 17. “I have other stories, but I don’t know if we’ll ever get to them. If I don’t, someone will definitely spread them after I die.” But for me, these stories go on.
It’s been 20 years since Stephanie made her literary debut with the novel Twilight, after which she released several more books, and the five-film franchise based on her novels grossed $3.3 billion at the box office. It was thanks to Twilight that very young Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart and Taylor Lautner became real stars.
I don’t even know how to survive this legacy, – Meyer said about the success of the film adaptation of the novel. – I didn’t expect to have fans when I started. Seeing how much people care about me is really, really flattering. But I don’t think it will last long. It’s strange to me.
The Twilight novels, novellas, and three comic books have sold more than 160 million copies and been translated into 37 languages.
