After waiting for the initial emotions to subside, Blake Lively decided to give a detailed comment on the judges’ decision in her case against Justin Baldoni. As a reminder, in 2024, the “Gossip Girl” star filed a lawsuit against her colleague, accusing him of harassment on the set of the film “It Ends With Us.” Later, several more claims from the star were added to them, including lawsuits for defamation and conspiracy, which are now withdrawn.
Blake published a long-winded statement on social media in which she thanked the judge for the decision, as well as for the opportunity next month to personally present the essence of her case to the jury and “tell my story in full in court”
For my own sake, but also for those who do not have this opportunity … many of those I have known and loved all my life, and countless those I will never know, ”the 38-year-old actress explained in a long statement in her stories.
Blake explained that she did not start this whole story with Baldoni at all because of attracting attention to herself.
The last thing I wanted in my life was a lawsuit, but I filed a lawsuit because I faced widespread ATTACKS that continued until I privately and professionally demanded a safe work environment for myself and others.

The Gossip Girl star also shared that while her situation may be dismissed as “celebrity drama” by some, she hopes others in a similar situation can relate.
The physical pain of digital abuse is very real. It is abuse. And it is everywhere. “Not just in the news, but in your communities and schools,” she wrote.
Lively, whose reputation may never recover from the Baldoni lawsuit, explained that digital violence “affects everyone,” including women and children.
Much work has already been done to identify the systems, tactics, and actors that cause harm. The work to improve safety is partly happening as part of the lawsuit, but it will continue after its conclusion. This is the work of which I am most proud. I would never have been able to achieve what I have without the countless people who came before me and those who are still with us—those who created laws, changed society, stirred up discussions, brought people together, worked in the private and public sectors, risked and sometimes lost everything for the safety of others in all spheres. We know some of their names, but most do not. Thank you. To all of you.
Lively said she will “never stop” doing her part in the fight to “expose systems and people who seek to harm, humiliate, silence and exact revenge on victims.”
I know it’s a privilege to be able to stand up. “I’m not letting her go,” she concluded, adding a dragon emoji, possibly a reference to her calling her husband, Ryan Reynolds, and ex-girlfriend, Taylor Swift, “dragons” in an exchange with Baldoni.
As a reminder, the remaining three of the actress’s 13 lawsuits (for breach of contract, harassment, and aiding and abetting harassment) will be heard in a protracted legal battle that began in December 2024.
