Rihanna became the first woman to have singles earn more than 200 million certifications from the Recording Industry Association of America — that means more than 200 million copies sold. As of Wednesday, April 15, the 38-year-old singer ranks third on the list of best-selling albums. Drake is first with 277.5 million, followed by Morgan Wallen with 215 million.

In 2025, Rihanna delighted fans with the news that she was preparing a new album.
There is no such thing as a genre now. That’s why I waited. Every time I thought, “No, this isn’t me.” This is wrong. This doesn’t fit my vision. This doesn’t fit my evolution. I can’t do this. I can’t come to terms with this. I can’t tour with this for a whole year,” she shared.
Rihanna’s last album was “ANTI,” released in 2016. In an interview with Harper’s Bazaar in 2025, the singer said that she was really enjoying working on new material.
