On Monday, May 11, King Charles III and Queen Camilla will attend a gala evening at the Royal Albert Hall to celebrate the 50th anniversary of The King’s Trust. The royals recently attended a reception in support of the charity during their visit to New York. The reigning British monarch founded the charity in 1976, originally called the Prince’s Trust as he was Prince of Wales at the time.

To mark the upcoming anniversary, the 77-year-old king and 78-year-old queen will join the organization’s ambassadors, alumni, staff and volunteers to celebrate the young people they have helped and their achievements over the years.

According to the organization’s press release, The King’s Trust “believes that every young person should have a chance to succeed, whatever their background or the challenges they face. The charity helps disadvantaged and struggling people by supporting them to develop the confidence and skills they need to live, learn and earn a living.” Following the evening at the Royal Albert Hall, King Charles will also host a garden reception at Buckingham Palace on May 14 to celebrate the organization’s anniversary.
