On May 26, 2026, King Frederik turned 58 years old. To mark the occasion, the Danish Royal Family gathered with the King on the balcony of Amalienborg Palace.
This is the third time the Danish Royal Family has celebrated the monarch’s birthday since his accession to the throne in January 2024.
His Majesty the King celebrates his birthday. You can join the celebrations at 12:00 pm, when members of the royal family will appear on the balcony in Frederik VIII’s Chamber at Amalienborg, the royal family’s public appearance was announced on the palace’s official social media account.
Queen Mary, Prince Vincent and Princess Josephine joined Frederik as he waved to the crowd and watched the changing of the guard from the balcony of the Copenhagen palace in honor of his birthday birth.
