Kate Middleton and Prince William recently published a memorial post dedicated to photographer Liz Hutton, who died in 2024 after a long battle with cancer. William and Kate, 42, displayed a photograph taken by Liz during an awards ceremony last October in the Great Hall of Windsor Castle. The photo stood in the hall throughout the day in memory of Liz on her 18th birthday, which was to have been on August 31.

The girl fought an aggressive desmoplastic tumor. Hutton photographed the Royal Ballet, comedian and TV presenter Michael McIntyre and the red carpet at the MTV Europe Music Awards. The Princess of Wales underwent preventative chemotherapy for cancer in 2024, and she met Liz in October and bonded over their shared passion for amateur photography, but on November 27, her parents announced her death.
“No one fought harder for life than she did,” said Liz’s mother, Vicky Robeyna. “There is a gaping hole in our lives left by Liz’s death and I don’t know how we can fill it. You made the last two months of Liz’s life the best.” She was flying at a height until the very end.
