36-year-old actress Emma Stone has become the new heroine of the Vogue video section “Life in Covers”. Together with journalists, the star recalled her most spectacular appearances. And she admitted that she does not regret any of them. But there was one moment that the star still feels embarrassed about.

I’m from Arizona and I don’t have any pigment in my skin, so I was obsessed with getting a tan as a kid, Emma recalls while looking at her photo from the 2011 Critics Choice Awards.

The actress showed up to the ceremony in a stunning silver dress with an open back.

I thought that if you’re dressing up and want to look great, you should get a really, really dark fake tan. My arms… look like I’m wearing sleeves because my hands are completely light! But I like this dress. I felt so great in it that I had to “tan” myself to emphasize this feeling even more,” Emma laughs.

The beauty blunder that no one noticed at the Critics Choice Awards played a cruel joke on Stone at another important event. At the 2011 Golden Globes, her skin tone matched the color of her outfit. The star appeared at the event in a long peach-colored dress.

I still wish I hadn’t made that decision, Emma admitted. “Look, I look like one big thumb.” Why did I decide that my skin tone should match the tone of my dress?
