Ekaterina Klimova is, without exaggeration, one of the most striking and sought-after actresses in contemporary Russian cinema. Her role in the cult series “Poor Nastya” brought her widespread fame and public adoration, but her professional range is considerably broader: she brilliantly embodies characters both on the big screen and in popular television projects, while never neglecting theatrical art.

This tireless artist seems unable to imagine her life outside the creative process, yet with amazing dedication she strives to harmoniously balance her busy career with the equally important aspects of her personal life, devoting maximum attention to her large and close-knit family. The mother of four children—Elizaveta, Korney, Matvey, and the youngest, Bella—Ekaterina Klimova proves that even with a huge professional workload and travel, it is possible and necessary to find time for what matters most—your loved ones. She constantly emphasizes that her family is more than just a refuge for her, but an inexhaustible source of energy and inspiration, for which she is willing to do anything. It is this commitment to balance that makes her a role model for many women.

In a recent interview, the Russian film star shared with fans one of her long-standing and highly valued traditions: she does not work in August on principle. Ekaterina dedicates the last month of summer entirely to herself, her children, and loved ones, turning it into a sacred time for complete relaxation and family togetherness. She explains this by the need for a deep “reboot,” since acting, for all its outward appeal and spotlight glitz, is one of the most energy-consuming and emotionally draining professions.

My mother’s birthday is on August 1st, and this holiday marks the beginning of our “family” month. It’s a time for rest, for connecting with loved ones—for living life. A period to rest, recuperate, get enough sleep, and recharge. After all, performances usually make me cry ten times a month. And that’s very emotionally draining. That’s why I’d like to go at least a month without tears… – the artist complained in an interview for the magazine “Caravan of Stories”.
