On the “space weekend” from 10 to April 12 at the “Rodnya” restaurant Chef Nikita Rakhmail will present a limited edition dessert in the shape of an astronaut sitting on a small moon. Inside the skillfully formed cake there is blackberry ganache, peanut praline and strawberry coulis, and on top there is white chocolate.
At the restaurant of modern Russian cuisine Relict for April 12 they created a twist on classic Aviation – cocktail “12/04”. This drink, a nod to Yuri Gagarin’s original background as a pilot, contains traditional gin,liquorer maraschinoo,fialka and lemonyjuice, as well as blackcurrantsoda and chocolate bitters, which are reminiscent of the first products to be carried on board the spacecraft – blackcurrantjuice and chocolatemousse. By the way, even the shape of the highball in which the cocktail is served refers to the “Vostok-1”, on which the historical flightwas performed.
