“Tango on the Shards”

An emotional and sensual melodrama starring Denis Shvedov and Yulia Snigir, released for KION and START. After the death of her husband, Ivan, Nora suddenly learns of his other life—a rented apartment, a mistress, and a passion for tango. Wanting to understand the reasons for his lies and infidelity, Nora begins attending the dance classes her late husband attended. Delving into his secret world, she begins to see her beloved in mirror reflections and attempts to communicate with him through passionate tango. This is, above all, a story about coping with loss, impossible intimacy, and attempts to build a new life when the old one is shattered. Nora tries to move on: flirting with her dance teacher and attempting sexual encounters. But the more she suppresses her true feelings, the more stuck in the past she becomes.

“Reservation”

Shvedov will soon star in the dramatic thriller “Reservation” – a screen adaptation of Stanislav Gimadeev’s novel “The Parity Principle.” The series unfolds the story of former police officer Sergei, who, upon returning home, discovers that his home is no longer there: his neighborhood is cut off from the outside world by a mysterious anomaly. Now called a reservation, there is no communication, the usual laws do not apply, and any attempt to leave the perimeter ends in death. But Sergei must enter the restricted area to get his family out of the trap and unravel the mystery of the anomaly. Denis Shvedov admitted he’s always been partial to fantasy and supernatural stories that cross genres, and this role particularly captivated him. His co-stars include Ekaterina Volkova, Nikolai Shraiber, Polina Gukhman, and Philipp Yankovsky. The series will air on KION in 2026.

“Werewolf”

In the crime thriller “Werewolf,” Shvedov plays Lazarev, a secret service agent who has lost his memory. His illness was caused by poisoning during a mission, but as a true professional, he must finish what he started and prevent the sale of new weapons to an international crime syndicate. He must rebuild his identity by gathering information from clues he left behind and figure out who to trust while he continues to work under the guidance of his handler, Pyotr Semyonovich (Maksim Shchegolov). The creators have called the series an action parable: the story of a resurrected warrior who must remember everything and achieve justice is full of spectacular fights, complex stunts, and dynamic chases.

“Red 5”

Shvedov’s stern character also fits into the atypical comedy genre. True, here he also got the role of a secret service agent who can single-handedly eliminate any enemy. But one day, his character, Bekeshev, fails a mission and is forced into retirement: that’s where the comedy begins. Bekeshev can’t live like an ordinary citizen—he sees a threat in everything, suffers from suspicion, and ends up in ridiculous situations. Then his former boss offers Bekeshev a new job: catching criminals with superpowers who have escaped from a secret prison. He is paired with the eccentric hacker Granny (Roman Kurtsyn). The action comedy parodies spy and crime series.

“Offline”

In the first season of this detective thriller, users of the secret drug-buying and selling app BeHappy face threats from a certain Anonymous, who has allegedly exposed their data and now offers them a choice: confess to the police or play a game of death. At first, the mailing is treated as a joke, but soon an anonymous user sends them a photo of the stasher with his throat slit. The app’s administrator, Anton (Nikita Kologrivy), and the hacker, Rust (Nikita Efremov), ban the aggressive user, but it doesn’t save them. Police and the FSB are on the trail of the app, determined to catch not only its creators but also the mysterious Anonymous. In this convoluted story, Shvedov plays police Major Nikonov, whose identity is revealed from a new angle as the investigation progresses.

“Wolf”

Based on Alexander Terekhov’s novel “Stone Bridge,” the series tells the story of former intelligence officer Alexander Volk (Denis Shvedov), who takes on the investigation of interconnected murders. After being freed from Arab captivity, he agrees to find the killer of Lyonya Goltsman (Ilya Lyubimov), the son of his savior—the murdered man was a good friend of Volk himself. On the eve of his death, Volk was investigating a crime that occurred in 1943 on the Stone Bridge in Moscow, when the daughter of the Soviet ambassador was killed. To solve his friend’s murder, Wolf must reconstruct the events of 1943. Both lines of investigation are tightly intertwined and lead to shocking discoveries. The more he learns, the more dangerous the case becomes.

“Exes”

The popular series on the START service brought together Denis Shvedov and Lyubov Aksenova on screen. Married psychologist Ilya Rusakov falls in love with Yana, a patient at a drug rehabilitation clinic. He himself struggled with alcoholism in the past and seems able to better understand and empathize with Yana’s experience. Thus begins their special connection, filled with emotional swings, breakdowns, and an irresistible attraction. But they are too different: she is the daughter of wealthy parents, accustomed to living for the moment and denying herself nothing; he is a professional who has conquered his demons, dreaming of a family and stability. Is this passionate relationship destined to blossom into something more? In 2022, the series received a full-length sequel, “Exes.” Happy End”, and in 2024 – the spin-off “Red Lines” with Polina Gagarina and Ilya Lyubimov.
