This afternoon, March 31, the wife of King Willem-Alexander of the Netherlands made a rare public appearance, opening the 70th anniversary celebrations of the non-governmental humanitarian organization Oxfam Novib in The Hague. The Queen attended the large-scale event alone, accompanied by aides and staff.

54-year-old Queen Máxima (previously known as Zorreguieta Cerruti) appeared in public in a stylish wool look: a fitted carrot-colored midi dress and a matching wide-brimmed hat. Brown snakeskin-patterned high heels, gold bracelets and wooden earrings, and a miniature beige clutch completed the look. The Queen applied appropriate makeup: carrot lipstick to match her outfit and mascara with bronze eyeshadow that highlighted her brown eyes.

Maxima was in a great mood, greeted everyone in a friendly manner and smiled broadly at those present. Incidentally, during the celebration, the Queen also opened a new office for Oxfam Novib.

Maxima became Queen Consort in 2013, and in 2002 she tied the knot with then Prince Willem-Alexander, the son of former Queen Beatrix. It is noteworthy that the current queen was not born in the Netherlands, but in Buenos Aires, Argentina, and has Spanish and Italian roots.

In her marriage to the King of the Netherlands, she gave birth to three daughters: princesses Catarina-Amalia, Alexia and Ariane.
