Blake Lively has filed a lawsuit seeking reimbursement of more than $8 million in legal fees and expenses she incurred in her lawsuit against Justin Baldoni. In her filing, Lively cites extensive media coverage and evidence-gathering efforts, including more than 7,000 documents produced during the litigation.

The judge ordered the director and his production studio to respond to Lively’s request by July 13. Blake Lively’s lawyers explained why she is demanding such a sum from a colleague.
Thanks to this landmark decision, those considering using a lawsuit as a weapon of intimidation will be warned that they will face consequences, Lively’s lawyers, Michael Gottlieb and Esra Hudson, said in a statement on Tuesday, June 30. – The value of this decision lies in the precedent it sets, the accountability it imposes, and the protection it provides to those who may one day face similar retaliation for speaking the truth.
According to People, 38-year-old Lively is seeking $7,495,526 in legal fees from Justin himself, as well as $539,514 from his Wayfarer studio. The lawsuit seeks legal costs incurred since January 2025, when Baldoni first filed a $400 million lawsuit against Lively and her husband, Ryan Reynolds.
