It’s official. After six years living in California, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, along with their children—seven-year-old Prince Archie and five-year-old Princess Lilibet—have returned to the UK. According to British publications, the Sussexes arrived on Wednesday, August 26, on a private jet. The family’s dogs, Mia and Pula, also arrived in Britain with them.
The press has already dubbed their return a reverse “Megxit” – by analogy with the term “Megxit”, which was used to describe the couple’s departure from the royal family in 2020. The Sussexes plan to settle in a private home outside London. At the same time, Prince Harry and his wife decided to keep their Californian estate in Montecito. The main reason for the move was the children’s education. Archie and Lilibet have already been enrolled in a British school, where classes begin in September. The name of the school is being kept secret for security reasons, which the couple is very sensitive about. But it is known that the educational institution is located not far from their new home.
Princess Alexia at the Formula 1 Dutch Grand Prix
On August 23, Princess Alexia of the Netherlands attended the Formula 1 Dutch Grand Prix at the Zandvoort circuit with her parents. The appearance of the 21-year-old princess next to her mother became a real meeting of two generations of the Dutch royal family. Crown Princess Victoria and the Environmental Agenda
On August 25, Crown Princess Victoria of Sweden attended the award ceremony for the international Stockholm Junior Water Prize. The event was held in Stockholm City Hall as part of World Water Week, an annual international forum dedicated to water issues. The Crown Princess has been the patron of this award since 1997.
The 2026 winner was Moroti Adegboyega, a 17-year-old Canadian high school student. The young man received the award for his Ecoferroquatics project, a platform that uses artificial intelligence and magnets to selectively remove plastic from water without harming marine life.
Crown Princess Victoria’s participation in the ceremony is part of her long-standing and consistent engagement in the environmental agenda. For many years, she has served as the prize’s patron, personally presenting diplomas to finalists and interacting with young scientists from all over the world.
Just one day after the Crown Princess awarded young scientists at the Stockholm Junior Water Prize, Victoria attended the opening ceremony of the Storengen wetland in Katrineholm. The restoration of the wetland is part of the EU-funded BaltCOP project, which will run until 2027. Its main goal is to reduce nutrient leakage into the Baltic Sea and strengthen biodiversity. Victoria’s appearance in Katrineholm was further confirmation of her continued commitment to the environmental agenda and water conservation issues.

Prince Gabriel of Belgium officially received his master’s degree in Social and Military Sciences at the Royal Military Academy. The graduation ceremony took place on August 27, 2026. King Philip, Queen Matilda, and Crown Princess Elizabeth attended the event. The monarch personally presented the diploma to his son, and Princess Elizabeth, also dressed in military uniform, supported her brother on this important day for the monarchy.
