Dozens of restaurants in 13 cities across the country will host the All-Russian Festival of Signature Pizza, “Pizzaio Fest,” for the first time from September 5th to 20th. As the name suggests, the event will feature pizzaiolo chefs preparing exclusive festival pizzas (these items are not featured on the regular restaurant menus).
Classic Neapolitan and Roman pizzas, crispy, hearty Detroit pizzas, and bold, experimental hybrids that blur all boundaries will be united by just two select ingredients: Italian flour from Le 5 Stagioni and professional pizza sauces from Pikador Pro. Otherwise, the chefs were free to let their imagination run wild, adding their many years of experience and a little bit of their soul to the ingredients they chose.
So, for the two festival weeks, a pizza with beef carpaccio, black caviar, parmesan, and white truffle oil was created; a pizza with zucchini carpaccio, crushed tomatoes, capers, and artichokes; a pizza with braised shoulder of lamb, celery sauce, and chimichurri; Roman pizza with sausage and Korean-style carrots… Fans of the thinnest crispy dough or plump burnt edges – at the “Pizzaiolofest” everyone will find a pizza to their taste.

Thanks to the festival, guests will have the opportunity not only to eat deliciously, but also to discover something new (few people, for example, know about the existence of Detroit pizza – rectangular, tall, with especially crispy cheese edges). Pizza chefs will demonstrate their vision of the most common Italian dish, their individual style and, perhaps, share personal professional stories. Based on the festival’s results, one of the masters will be nominated for the special “Pizza Chef of the Year” category at the “Palme d’Or. Best in the Industry 2026” awards. The winners will be announced at the “Best in the Industry. Palme d’Or” forum on November 30, 2026, which will be held in Moscow at the Connect innovation space.
For now, go and try it, preferably with family or friends—because pizza requires good company. Among the fifty restaurants participating in Pizzaiolofest are Moscow’s Leo, Piknik, Magritte, Rombus, Vino E Cucina, Garda, Coperto, Resentin, Il ristorante, Cosmo by community, Pasta i Basta, Restaurant 13, Navo, Soup-cafe, and Alma; St. Petersburg’s Tondo, La Biga, 3 Pizza 22 cm restaurants, Itameshi, 8 Bona restaurants, Giusto Gusto caffè, Marcellis, and Frutteto bistro; Sochi’s Four Sons, Lino Italiano Bistro, and NN.8; Nizhny Novgorod’s Pinci; Kazan’s Croccante; Ufa’s Casablanca; Omsk’s Osteria Pizzot; Perm’s Lecho; Tver’s Felicita; Trattoria Dito Italiano from Yoshkar-Ola; 2 Salsa restaurants from Stavropol; Dune from Reutov; 4 Italian restaurants from Bryansk; Cheese in Oil from Uglich; “Viennese Yard” from Gelendzhik.
