Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds owe contractors more than $2.1 million for work on their estate in New York City. Sources noted that the couple’s situation is worse than before, as their businesses have been hit hard over the past year by a lawsuit from actress and director Justin Baldoni.

According to Westchester County records, the total amount of claims is $2.1 million, the Daily Mail reports. Flower Construction is seeking $1.35 million for electrical work, drywall, waterproofing, painting, and carpentry, documents obtained by The Post show.

This is a project that Blake and Ryan have been working on for eight years. The mansion was supposed to be their family home. In 2018, the couple purchased this estate, and two years later they added a lot to it for $1.6 million. The project is envisioned as an eco-friendly and geothermal-powered complex, which will include a swimming pool and a gym.
Construction is expected to be suspended around late 2025 or early 2026. At a 2022 planning commission hearing, Lively raved about her property, describing it as “paradise” and “the most beautiful place in the world.”
We love this place so much. We are so grateful to have this land, this space, and this privacy,” she told city officials.
