Singer Alsou spent a warm evening alone with her mother and decided to capture her on video. In the shot, 71-year-old Razia Iskhakovna, dressed in a dark turtleneck, sat at a table. Her look was understated and elegant: her hair was neatly styled, her makeup was subtle, with an emphasis on naturalness.
Alsou captured her mother in close-up; she clearly felt uncomfortable under the camera’s scrutiny and appeared slightly embarrassed. To make the video even more heartwarming, the artist added her own song, written in honor of her mother.
My mother is such a beautiful one. I so want my parents to always be close by, healthy, young, happy, – commented Alsou.
Razia Iskhakovna is an architect by profession. She participated in the design of a wide variety of projects in Tatarstan and Moscow: from residential buildings and schools to mosques and other significant public buildings. Together with her husband, Ralif Safin, a former vice president of the oil company Lukoil and a politician, she raised four children: Alsu herself and her brothers, Ruslan, Marat, and Renard.
In 2024, the Safins celebrated their golden wedding anniversary—50 years of marriage. In her interviews, Alsou has repeatedly emphasized that she sincerely admires her mother: her wisdom, patience, and ability to maintain a strong, close-knit family despite all of life’s trials.
