The media is actively covering the circumstances of the final months of 36-year-old actress Hayden Panettiere’s life. According to press reports, the actress’s mother, Leslie Vogel, who came to Los Angeles to help her daughter during an acute health crisis, discovered that Hickerson had been secretly pawning Hayden’s personal belongings, including a vintage guitar. The items were stored in a warehouse registered in the man’s name, which came as a shock to Panettiere. Information about the sale of property was also confirmed by anonymous sources to Page Six.
The actress’s entourage and Hayden herself made desperate attempts to break off relations with Hickerson. Thus, during a book tour in New York in May 2026, timed to coincide with the release of her memoir, “This Is Me: A Reckoning,” the star was accompanied by private security with strict instructions to keep her ex-boyfriend away. In her podcasts, Panettiere admitted that she needed tremendous support to prevent Hickerson from returning to her life.
The actress’s final months were marred by serious health problems. According to Hayden herself, she experienced severe pain and felt “pins and needles” from her waist to her feet—symptoms indicating nerve damage. According to Hickerson’s brother, Zach, it was Brian who found the actress unconscious, tried to provide first aid – performed CPR and administered Narcan, a drug used to treat opioid overdoses – before paramedics arrived.
