The star of the series “Knock on My Door” Hande Erçel has successfully passed a test for involvement in the use of potent substances. According to Gazete Pencere, a forensic examination conducted by the Forensic Medicine Center did not find traces of illegal drugs in the actress’s blood and hair samples.

The story began on March 25, when the Istanbul prosecutor’s office issued an arrest warrant for Hande Erçel. The actress, who was abroad, immediately declared her readiness to cooperate with the investigation and returned to Turkey. On March 27, she was detained right at the Istanbul airport, but after giving a statement and undergoing tests, she was released.
Erçel actively cooperated with the investigation, emphasizing her non-involvement in the criminal case. Now the results of the examination have confirmed her words – the actress’s career and advertising contracts are out of danger.

The case is developing against the backdrop of a large-scale anti-drug campaign in Turkey, due to which the reputations of a number of local celebrities have already suffered. Along with Hande, her ex-lover, billionaire Hakan Sabanci, actress Birce Akalay (Black and White Love), and actor Dogukan Günger (Cranberry Sherbet) also came under suspicion.
Hakan Sabanci made a public statement in support of his ex-lover, emphasizing that he never noticed her using any substances.
