On April 18, on their 15th birthday, the children of the Danish King Frederick X and Queen Mary underwent a special rite of confirmation, or, more simply, the rite of conscious acceptance of the Catholic faith. The ceremony took place in Fredensborg Palace Church and brought together all the key members of the Danish royal family, including former Queen Margrethe II.
Shortly after the church confirmation ceremony in Fredensborg Palace Church, these portraits of Their Royal Highnesses Prince Vincent and Princess Josephine and members of their family were taken, the official caption reads.
The palace’s official social media account also states that the author of the pictures was royal photographer Karen Rosetsky.

In the pictures, 15-year-old Vincent and Josephine are captured in formal attire: the princess is in a snow-white openwork dress with pearl family jewelry, and her brother is in a striped trouser suit with the same striped tie and a white shirt.
Last week, by the way, The Danish palace published rare, previously unseen photos of former Queen Margrethe (the twins’ grandmother) in honor of her 86th birthday.
