Katerina Shpitsa, who baptized her little son last week, continues to share mommy content. This time, the actress decided to touch on a topic that worries many women thinking about motherhood after 40.
I am now often asked how much motherhood at 40 differs from the experience of 14 years ago. I will only speak for myself, of course, because every body is individual and destinies are different. Two loves cannot be compared. Two sons — two different books. These are two happinesses, each with its own shades of experience. From a physical point of view, I did not feel much difference during pregnancy and I am recovering well. This pregnancy had, perhaps, only one complication, and it is of an emotional nature, — the actress wrote in a new post, accompanying it with a short video of black-and-white photographs taken during her last pregnancy.
Katerina has already said that this time was exciting, because in 2024 the actress was already carrying a child under her heart, but lost it at an early stage. The ultrasound revealed a frozen pregnancy. It turned out the doctors’ terrifying verdict wasn’t the only one.
Ruslan and I lived as if holding our breath, because we’d lost before, twice. One incident was shared online to support everyone going through the same journey, but our second miscarriage was kept quiet even within the family, to protect the feelings of our eldest son, who had been eagerly awaiting a sibling for several years and hadn’t yet fully recovered from the first loss. I found the strength to endure it in secret, sharing the pain with my husband. Now that the long-awaited Bogdan was born, we can tell everything to show those for whom this topic is a pressing one, that it is possible to become a mother at 40, without even resorting to ART.
As a reminder, Katerina Shpitsa became a mother of two at the beginning of May. She gave birth to a son, Bogdan, with her new husband, Ruslan Panov. The baby became a younger brother to the actress’s firstborn, 14-year-old German, whom Katerina gave birth to in her marriage to stuntman Konstantin Adaev.
