Jordan’s royal palace unveils new, previously unseen portrait of Queen Rania

The 55-year-old wife of King Abdullah II is known to the public not only for her active advocacy for women’s rights, but also for her elegant style and timeless, classic beauty. Therefore, fans of the Jordanian royal family always eagerly await the release of her new official portraits. And the day before, the palace published a new photo of the queen on its social media account, telling more about her image in the photo.

In the picture, Rania poses with her hair down, wearing a white shirt with frilled sleeves and gold buttons, diamond earrings, and an ultra-modern watch.

A previously unknown portrait of Her Majesty was recently published on the Queen Rania Foundation website, – reads the caption to the photo on the palace account. – Her Majesty is wearing an elegant long-sleeved blouse from Zimmermann. A fun fact: since the launch of the Apple Watch, the Queen has swapped her traditional timepiece for this sophisticated, modern accessory.

Rania became Queen Consort in 1993 when she married Abdullah II. The royal couple has several adult heirs: Prince Hussein, Princess Iman, Princess Salma and the youngest Prince Hashim, born in 2005.
