Blake Lively suffered a major setback when a judge dismissed 10 of her 13 lawsuits against her “It Ends With Us” co-star Justin Baldoni, but the actress has another secret weapon: her husband, Ryan Reynolds. The “Deadpool” star will appear at a new hearing scheduled for May 18 as one of Lively’s many witnesses, according to court documents filed by Blake last Saturday. People journalists have become familiar with them.

According to the publication, 49-year-old Reynolds will testify about the problems associated with the production and promotion of the film, as well as the alleged retaliatory measures and damages, which became key points in the case. After all, the actor personally witnessed the unfolding drama.
Both defendants in the case – 38-year-old Blake and 42-year-old Justin – will also personally voice their versions to the jury. Earlier this week, both rejected attempts to settle the lawsuit and put an end to the proceedings, which have been dragging on since December 2024.

As a reminder, Blake filed a lawsuit against her colleague, accusing him of sexual harassment and abuse on the set of the film “It Ends with Us.” And he did not remain silent, filing a counterclaim in which he stated that Blake acted outside the script. After this, several more claims were added, which both parties decided to settle not face to face, but exclusively in court.
