Princess Diana told a friend about her married life with the future King Charles in a recently discovered letter. Two months after her wedding to the future monarch, the Princess of Wales wrote to a school friend that she was “loving being married.” The letter details Diana’s love of the countryside and her first impressions of royal life. She also shared some surprising observations about her marriage to the future king.
“We had a wonderful honeymoon with endless sunshine and, thankfully, calm seas… We are now in Scotland until the end of October, which is a great joy for us – I love being outdoors all day and hate London!” Princess Diana wrote, as reported by The Telegraph. “Marriage is wonderful, I think I can confidently say that after two months of marriage!” — she continued.

The letter also said that 20-year-old Diana was adapting to her new life in the royal family.
This is a game with adults! — she wrote.
A press release from Gorringe’s said the three-page letter was dated September 27, 1981, and that Diana wrote it during her honeymoon at Balmoral in Scotland. The auction also includes rare photographs of Diana from her school days and the programme for the 1997 memorial service that took place after her death.
