Sarah Paulson is in New York City as part of a massive press tour for the premiere of American Horror Story: 13, which premieres on September 24, 2026, on FX and Hulu.
During the promotional campaign, the actress took part in a number of key events. For example, she was a guest on the morning show Good Morning America, where she spoke about her return to the iconic anthology and shared details of her preparation for what she described as her most ambitious work yet within the project. Another promotional element was a special companion podcast from the FX channel: in it, Sarah Paulson and her colleague Emma Roberts interviewed each other, revealing the features of the filming process and expectations for the new episodes.
The main sensation of the season is the record number of roles that Paulson will play: in In the 13th season, she will appear in six images at once. According to the plan of showrunner Ryan Murphy, the season will be a large-scale crossover of the “hits” of past years with the participation of the cult heroes of the franchise.
The actress will return to the following iconic characters: Cordelia Goode (Coven), Lana Winters (Asylum), Sally McKenna (Hotel), Wilhelmina Weinable (Apocalypse), Tuberculosis Karen (Double Feature), Mamie Eisenhower (Double Feature).
According to Paulson herself, the filming required colossal efforts: on one of the days she had to transform into four different characters in a row.
Besides Sarah Paulson, other stars of the project will also take part in the “parade of cult heroes”. Jessica Lange will play four roles, and Evan Peters will appear in five different images.
