The Lost City

This action comedy captivates with the beauty of the tropics discovered by the creators in the Dominican Republic. However, there is a risk that not every viewer will be able to appreciate all the landscapes – it is very difficult to stop admiring Channing Tatum and Sandra Bullock, who play an awkward pair of pseudo-partners.

None of them were ready for a journey to an incomprehensible lost city, let alone a fight with an eccentric billionaire. Moreover, when choosing an actor for the role of the latter, the creators made a most unexpected decision: they cast Daniel Radcliffe. So the story became even more absurd, though it seemed impossible: the plot now revolved around a writer whose fictional heroine had deciphered a real ancient language. Now the woman, who knows nothing about survival, must search for an ancient treasure in a place unmapped—and which, she herself believes, doesn’t even exist.

Mission: Impossible – Fallout

Ethan Hunt’s latest adventure spanned three countries: Germany, France, and the UK. It all begins in Berlin, where the hero first encounters the criminal group “Apostles”—in reality, assembled from the surviving members of the already familiar gang “Syndicate.”

According to intelligence, the bandits aren’t after money or ancient treasures—they want plutonium. They plan to use its cores in the creation of portable nuclear bombs developed by an underground nuclear physicist. The main objective: to obtain the substance itself from black market dealers. The dates and terms of the deals have already been agreed upon, but there’s just one problem: Ethan Hunt and his team have also familiarized themselves with the terms of the sale and set out to catch the bandits and admire the beauty of Europe.

Dirty Money

Guy Ritchie once wondered: “Can a man escape from an island stuffed with bandits in just 10 minutes?” Solving such a problem alone was difficult, so professionals joined the discussion and began talking about a variety of escape and survival tactics – which formed the basis for the script of the new film.

Henry Cavill and Jake Gyllenhaal played the roles of “demonstrators” of this experiment. Their heroes, Sid and Bronco, find themselves in a classic action movie mission: once again, a billionaire has decided he’s short on cash and embezzled another hefty sum. Now, to recover the $1 billion and, at the same time, restore justice, the partners will have to strike a balance between law and lawlessness, as well as between a gentlemanly legal approach and brute force. John Wick 3

John Wick didn’t fly to Morocco to relax in an authentic hammam or try out the Moroccan shower, which has recently become a beauty trend on social media. No, the killer, expelled from the secret assassins’ guild, has a completely different mission—in Casablanca, he simply needs to survive.

The fact is that the aforementioned guild didn’t simply “disown” the hero, but assigned him excommunicado status and called him a true outcast. From the moment the “sentence is announced,” Wick has only an hour before the hunt begins for his head—a prize that could sell for tens of millions of dollars. John fails to find a safe place within the allotted time, and so, overcoming all obstacles in the form of “colleagues in the industry” set on him, he flees to North Africa, where he is also unlikely to find peace – instead, there will be only a soothing landscape.

Wild River

There is no escape from criminals in the usual sense of an action movie – in the company of friends who decided to go on a short trip along the river, the enemy turns out to be so close that running from him is almost pointless. There is not a single living soul around, the only rescuer is dead, there is no cell phone service or Internet. The only option left is to save yourself on your own.

And it all started so wonderfully. The heroes were looking forward to a wonderful time together and enjoying the beauty of the wild nature, which, incidentally, is not conveyed in the film as a set—the filming took place on location. The first warning signs that would ruin their vacation appeared suddenly: one of the travelers, Van, fell and suffered a serious head injury. The team immediately decided to change their route and head straight for rescuers, but even there an unpleasant surprise awaited them: Van, the prime suspect in the fall, capsized the boat and informed everyone who had escaped that from now on, everything in their small group would be by his rules.

Baby Driver

“He’s not just a driver, he’s the driver,” that’s how Baby was introduced to a gang of armed robbers. They decided to use him as a driver in an upcoming major robbery, which didn’t particularly please either him or the other bandits: after all, a guy who never takes off his headphones looks awfully suspicious.

And yet music is practically the main reason for his “success” on the road. In fact, Baby has hearing problems – there’s a constant noise in his ears that can only be drowned out by rock, jazz, hip-hop, and the like: after all, Baby is a music lover. By the way, the dynamic editing for which the film’s director, Edgar Wright, is famous, perfectly supports this “audiophile” passion of the hero: in the film, every scene is a video clip with a charged melody, adrenaline shaking, notes of risk and, most importantly, chic cityscapes and their endless highways.
