Princess Charlene and Prince Albert II paid a memorable visit to the Peil animal shelter to mark the completion of a major renovation project. Charlene, who has headed the shelter since 2022, looked elegant and businesslike in a gray pantsuit, white shirt, and matching heels. Along with other members of the royal family—Princess Stéphanie, her daughter Camille Gottlieb, the prince’s cousin Mélanie-Antoinette de Massy, and his brother Gareth Wittstock—the couple eagerly explored all the new facilities, from green spaces to special areas where animals can meet their future owners.

A touching moment was the unveiling of the bust of Princess Antoinette, Baroness de Massy, the very one who once founded this shelter. Princess Charlene did not hide her emotions:
During the renovation work at the animal center, my thoughts naturally turned to an outstanding figure in our family, the founder of this association, Princess Antoinette, Baroness de Massy, known to all for her deep affection and exemplary dedication to the cause of animal protection. Today I want to revive her memory and pay tribute to her.
