Three months before his 82nd birthday, Russian conductor Vladimir Spivakov was hospitalized. Metropolitan Hilarion was the first to report the maestro’s urgent hospitalization. He wrote on his Telegram channel about a suspected stroke and asked for prayerful support for Vladimir Teodorovich. His words were confirmed by the cancellation of an upcoming concert. On June 21, the concert was scheduled to feature actress Alisa Freundlich and the Moscow Virtuosi chamber orchestra at the Moscow International House of Music. The organizers quickly announced the postponement: tickets remained valid, and a new date would be announced later.

However, Metropolitan Hilarion’s concerns regarding Spivakov’s health turned out to be somewhat exaggerated. Conductor Sati Spivakov’s wife clarified the situation by issuing a statement on her personal social media account.

Dear friends, near and far, thank you for your concern and excitement! Vladimir Teodorovich does not have a stroke, but he does have some health issues. The maestro is currently in good hands; he is being examined. Doctors are confident that everything will be fine. Thank you for your understanding!

Sati decided not to disclose the exact diagnosis. Fans and celebrity friends—Philipp Kirkorov, Yana Rudkovskaya, Alexandra Ursulyak, Hibla Gerzmava, Mark Tishman, Vlad Lisovets, and many others—are wishing Spivakov health and strength in the comments.
